Meadow Lake

This lake is one of the biggest on site at around 50 acres. Because of the reed growth in recent years, it has been very
under fished. We intend to open up a few areas, just by removing some reeds. it’s a very open lake with few features,
although the margins are well worth fishing, nice clean gravel slope. There are carp present, as mentioned in the Fjords
section. They do seem to spend most of their time in this lake, and can occasionally be seen patrolling the margins in
addition to some god shows if you’re lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time, a rare occurrence granted,
but a special one when it does happen! There are also very large tench about as well as big big bream. The eels would also
be well worth a go should you be that way inclined! There are no stocking plans for this one just yet due to its size, but
as previously mentioned, there will be some swim construction being undertaken this year to improve access. There is supposed
to be a 30m margin left by the boats, marked by bouys. Because they are not used to anglers fishing, this probably isn’t a
hard and fast rule that they adhere to, so should anyone have any bother, keep calm and report it to me or one of the fishery
bailiffs and we will deal with it.
