Long Reach

Also known as the water ski lake, this is a rectangular lake of around 30+ acres. This is a very challenging water but
has produced real sweet carp for those willing to put in the effort. There are carp present to 37+ with about 4 or 5
different 30lb commons. Some real lookers!.. Lots of silver fish are also present, and as with all the other lakes, big
tench, massive shoals of bream specimen pike and very big eels. Access is restricted along the north east bank due to a
slalom course for the water ski-errs. However there are two swims at the beginning of the bank and three fishable ones at
the end after the last buoy. As with The Sailing Lake, if any problems are experienced with the water skiers, of which
there have been a few, try to be courteous, and call me. I want to log all incidents, when, where, what etc. so we have
something tangible to speak to the owners about... and remember, try to keep calm! The bank along the Sailing Lake side
does suffer from abundant vegetation, but this year it will be cut regularly, hopefully encouraging more anglers on there
to get stuck in to some of the Long Reach Myths!
